Get to know our Executive Team:
Jonathan LaRosa
President and CEO – Master Electrician
With over 30 years’ in electrical construction trades, Jon has partnered with Joe in building UMS to what it is today. In the past, Jon developed the electrical division of what eventually became one of the largest ESCOs in the country. Using this experience, Jon has led a variety of electrical projects with much of his experience revolving around energy efficiency installations from Chillers to Lighting to Motors & Drives. Not only has Jon managed the successful installation of projects, he has displayed exemplary leadership in safety and accountability holding his OSHA 30 and serving as the Safety Director for GM.
Joseph D’Acquisto
Director of Energy Conservation
Joe has spent over 15 years in the energy efficiency industry selling and designing measures. After managing a national ESCO’s PA Branch for 5 years, he left to run the Measure and Verification division of Commercial and Industrial Rebate programs for PPL Electric Utilities. At PPL, Joe helped develop the Midstream Protocol for the state of PA and co-authored a research paper on the Thermostatic Restriction Valve that was published and used in the PA TRM. Joe then became the Director of Auditing for Wesco Energy Solutions, helping to audit over 200 million sq ft domestically and internationally, and training team members across the globe on their auditing platform. He created UMS in 2018, with the vision to be a partner to our clients by offering value-add services for their customer base. Joe has since trained and developed a team of experts in auditing, rebates, and project management in order for this vision to come to fruition. With his expertise, Joe is also assisting NALMCO in drafting the industry's first lighting auditor certification.
Matthew Cinquanti
Director of ESCOs Partnerships
For the past 20 years, Matt has directly been involved and/or managed teams that have developed and implemented over $300M in energy solution projects, producing over $120M in 1st year only cost savings that have compounded and grown for customers year over year since. Matt joined UMS in 2023 with a focus on ESCO and Vendor Partnerships aiming to be an extension of our clients by offering our value-add services with our expansive network of auditors and installers.
Jessica Calvo
Director of Business Development
Since joining UMS in 2023, Jessica has played a key role in expanding our client base and strengthening relationships with a true “people first” approach. Her leadership ensures that both our clients and team members experience the highest level of support and service. With a diverse background spanning Operations, Human Resources, and Client Management, she is driving the development of strategic processes that fuel UMS’s growth and long-term success. Jessica is a firm believer that leading with service not only reinforces our mission, vision, and values but also allows UMS to continue being a trusted partner to every client we serve.
Joshua Lippiatt
Senior Business Solutions Manager
Joshua Lippiatt serves as Senior Business Solutions Manager at Utility Management Solutions. He has brought over 20 years of experience in the energy efficiency and lighting solutions industry, supporting ESCO partners, national accounts, and facility leaders across multiple sectors, including education, healthcare, commercial/industrial buildings, and municipalities. Throughout his career, Josh has worked on the development and delivery of turnkey energy conservation projects, including LED lighting and other facility efficiency solutions. His background in business development, national account management, and energy project solutions supports UMS’s mission of delivering impactful and scalable energy efficiency projects nationwide.
Curtis Henshall
Audit Manager
Curtis Henshall began his career in 2011 as a lighting installer and retrofitter, building a strong technical foundation in energy-efficient systems. In 2012, he transitioned into auditing, where he expanded his analytical expertise and deepened his understanding of program compliance and project evaluation. Over the past decade, Curtis has broadened his scope to include project management, labor relations, and utility incentive procurement. He has successfully led nationwide rollouts of large-scale industrial and multifamily advanced lighting and building management system (BMS) projects, overseeing execution from strategic planning through full implementation. Since joining UMS, Curtis has further expanded his expertise to include water, HVAC, and refrigeration systems, reinforcing his multidisciplinary approach to facility optimization and energy performance. He holds an OSHA 30 certification and remains committed to delivering safe, efficient, and high-performing solutions that support UMS’s mission of Sustainability Simplified.
Bert Lariscy
Project Engineer
Bert Lariscy is a Project Engineer with over 35 years of experience across the steel, food and beverage, engineering, and chemical industries, primarily in the Metro Atlanta area. His career has focused on solving technical challenges involving PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and system troubleshooting. Since joining UMS in 2024, Bert has supported lighting installation project management, field audits, project savings verification, and the development of standard UMS audit procedures for energy efficiency projects. He holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Jacksonville State University. Bert is OSHA 30 certified and a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional.
Ryan Laws
Audit & Installation Specialist
Ryan Laws is an Electrician and Energy Project Auditor with over four years of hands-on experience across residential and commercial electrical environments. His background includes electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety codes and industry standards. In addition to field experience, Ryan has two years of experience auditing electrical, HVAC, and water efficiency projects, verifying project compliance, and ensuring installations meet program standards and performance requirements. His combined field and auditing experience brings strong attention to detail and a practical understanding of energy efficiency projects.
Leomarys Marchese
Administrative Coordinator
Leomarys joined UMS in 2025 as an Administrative Coordinator supporting the leadership team through operational coordination, marketing development, and administrative oversight that enhances internal efficiency and strengthens UMS’s brand presence. Her experience includes supporting municipal marketing initiatives and overseeing operations in fast-paced environments. Known for her proactive mindset and attention to detail, she contributes to both operational excellence and brand development, helping UMS position for continued growth and industry leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Management, summa cum laude, from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
